Counting calories from a photo

Photo calorie counting identifies the food and estimates the portion. It is fast and good enough for most goals, but portion size is where most of the error comes from.

How it works

The app recognises the dishes in the photo, estimates how much of each is there, and looks up nutrition values for that amount.

Getting better estimates

Shoot from above with the whole plate in frame, include something for scale, and correct the portion when the app asks.

In Life OS

Take a photo or just say what you ate, and your ELO logs calories, protein, carbs and fat. Food labels can be scanned too.

Questions people ask

How accurate are AI calorie counters?

Food recognition is usually good; portion size is the main source of error, so check the amount.

Can I log food by voice?

In Life OS, yes: tell your ELO what you ate and it logs it.
